Habitat for Humanity, WA

The Garden Court project is a 7 acre sustainable development of 28 upper-scale Habitat for Humanity homes in the City of Kennewick. The project includes 3 and 4 bedroom houses using passive solar technology, green building methods and materials, and continuing natural landscape elements in compliance with the Evergreen Sustainable Development Criteria. The project includes a small central park area surrounded by houses and short greenbelts extending from the central area to the lots on the periphery. The streets follow the perimeter of the property to provide a central area that remains pedestrian and children friendly. The lots for each house include carport pads prepared for construction and the houses have complimentary color and design elements so the area is connected into a pleasant neighborhood setting.
