The Yakima Valley School in Selah, WA provides support and services for 100 mentally and physically handicapped clients. The school is comprised of an old five-story Tuberculosis hospital that has been re-organized to provide support services to the surrounding cottages that house the clients. The cottages are modern and comfortable facilities that break up the population into smaller more homelike atmospheres. The projects include adding emergency power, new recumbent tubs, and extensive tile roof repairs to the cottages. The main hospital building projects included receiving dock repairs, seismic and control system elevator upgrades, fencing around the portions of the perimeter of the campus which has significant grade changes, and modernization of the fire alarm reporting system for the entire campus including the administration building.
